At the core of Apata’s business is the harvest and processing of kiwifruit from strategically located Te Puke and Katikati packhouses and cool-storage facilities. Alongside our kiwifruit operations, we’re also the country’s largest and most respected avocado harvester and processor.
Supporting our packhouse activities we’re recognised as an industry leader in technical support and all aspects of orchard production as well as being heavily involved in the development, leasing, and management of orchards across New Zealand.
Beyond ‘what’ we do, growers are drawn to us because of ‘how’ we do it. The dedication and attentiveness we demand from our teams ensure growers of a direct and trusted line of communication, and we proudly maintain a healthy position at an industry level as a grower’s greatest advocate.
Operational investments over the past five years have created an infrastructure that’s robust, efficient and most importantly has the capacity to meet our growers’ needs for the future. With the bricks and mortar taken care of we’re able to focus our full attention on the operational excellence required to maximise our growers’ returns.
